Roxanne Elizabeth Murphy passed away on Friday July 13, 2018. Born in Lockport on March 2, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Marjorie Trude Simmons Sr. Roxanne graduated from NCCC with an Associates Degree in Nursing and worked at Briarwood Manor for 34 years as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a member of All Saints RC Parish, where she was a Eucharistic Minister. Roxanne enjoyed drinking coffee, feeding the birds and visiting with friends and family.
Roxanne is survived by her husband of 45 years, Joseph Murphy. She was the mother of Mellissa Murphy and the late Jason Murphy; grandmother of Andrew Murphy. Roxanne was the sister of Robert “Buster” (Teresa) Simmons Jr., Curt (Tina) Simmons and the late Kim Brodsky and Tina Jordan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
There will be no prior visitation. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial, to be celebrated on Tuesday July 17, 2018 at 10 AM, at All Saints Parish Oratory, 391 Market Street, Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Spring Cemetery.
