GERACI – Valerie Leigh (nee Snowden) Of the Town of Tonawanda, entered into rest July 12, 2018, at age 55; beloved wife of Mark Geraci, Sr.; devoted mother of Jessica, Samantha, and Mark Geraci, Jr.; loving daughter of Hugh and the late E. Jane (nee Wiederhold) Snowden; dear sister of Karen (Preston) Roberts, Scott (Vilma) Snowden, Todd Snowden, and Glenn (Nelly) Snowden; also survived by a multitude of loving siblings-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends.

Valerie was born November 6, 1962 in Prince George’s County, Maryland. She graduated from Williamsville North High School in 1980 and attended the University of Oklahoma and The University at Buffalo from where she earned her marketing degree and MBA in 1986. She worked as a paralegal before taking time off to raise her three children. She later earned her teaching certificate in elementary education at Buffalo State College. She returned to work as paralegal to John Maxwell of Maxwell Murphy, LLC, where she worked until her passing. Valerie was an avid gardener, Scrabble player, tennis enthusiast, reader, musician, kayaker, and friend to all. Since her diagnosis, she was a dedicated fundraiser for the Ride for Roswell, supporting the institution that supported her. Valerie had an inspirational ability to remain positive in the face of numerous obstacles.

Family will be present at the LOMBARDO FUNERAL HOME (Northtowns Chapel), 885 Niagara Falls Blvd., near Eggert/Sheridan Dr., on Sunday (July 15th), from 2-5 PM. A Memorial Service will be held at Marcy Casino at Delaware Park, 199 Lincoln Pkwy., on Monday (July 16th) at 11:30 AM. In lieu of flowers, donations in Valerie’s memory may be made to the Roswell Park Alliance Foundation.
