PRESS RELEASE

A 30 year old Olean man was charged with DWI on July 1, 2018 following a routine traffic stop.

According to New York State Troopers, during a traffic stop for several VTL violations on 7th Street in the town of Allegany, officers detected a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Joshua J. Shoup’s vehicle. Troopers administered standardized field sobriety tests, which indicated Shoup was intoxicated. He was arrested and transported to SP Olean, where he was found to have a .16% BAC.

Shoup was released and issued appearance tickets returnable to Allegany Town Court later this month.
