UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS


CLEVELAND, O.H. — The University at Buffalo placed 17 outdoor track and field student-athletes on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference Team, the league announced on Wednesday. The women’s team had 11 selections, while the men’s team had six named to the team.

In addition, McCarthy’s 3.992 grade point average as a biology major was the highest GPA amongst all men’s track and field student-athletes in the conference.
The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics. To qualify, a student-athlete must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.
