LiebelBROCKPORT, N.Y. — Cody Sikora (N. Tonawanda/N. Tonawanda) and Ronni Kordrupel (East Aurora/Iroquois) submitted the top Buffalo State performances as they both look to continue their seasons at the NCAA Championships, leading the Bengals at the two-day Atlantic Region Outdoor Conference Championships.
 
THE BASICS
MEN’S RESULT: 14th of 28 teams
WOMEN’S RESULT: 19th of 25 teams

NOTABLES:

  • The men’s team scored in three events, led by a victory by Sikora in the 400-meter dash with a season-best time of 47.95 seconds which is good for 14th in Division III this season.
  • Kordrupel was one of just two-scoring women for Buffalo State, posting a runner-up finish in the 1,500-meter run in 4:36.10.
  • Tashana Dixon (White Plains/Woodlands) added two points with a seventh-place showing in the 400-meter dash (59.44).
  • Robert Liebel (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) scored in two events, placing third in the 100-meter dash with a season-best time of 10.69 seconds and was fourth in the 200-meter dash (21.74).
  • Benjamin Fairweather (Brooklyn/Kurt Hahn Expeditionary) finished seventh in the 400-meter dash (49.14), and Blaine Billings (Newburgh/Newburgh Free) was eighth in the 100 (11.04) and 200-meter (21.99) dashes.
