BUFFALO, N.Y. — Saturday’s Mid-American Conference championship match between Buffalo and Western Michigan will be held indoors at the Miller Tennis Center beginning at 1pm. The winner will earn the MAC’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
Western Michigan enters Saturday as the top seed as they picked up an easy 4-0 win over Ball State on Friday in the semifinals. The Bulls earned a hard-fought 4-3 win over Northern Illinois in the semifinals yesterday afternoon.
The contest between the Bulls and Broncos is a rematch of last year’s championship held in Kalamazoo, which UB won 4-3. WMU won both regular season meetings this year, 5-2. This is the seventh straight year that either Buffalo or Western Michigan has played for a MAC Title.
