NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Purple Eagles head to Saint Peter’s for a three-game series April 28-29 and look to get back on track in MAAC play after six straight conference losses.

Last Time Out
  • The Purple Eagles dropped a high-scoring contest to crosstown rival Canisius, 17-10, on April 25.
  • Peter Battaglia led NU with a career-high five RBIs and also had a team-high three runs scored.

On the Field: Niagara Purple Eagles
  • Greg Cullen leads the Purple Eagles and the MAAC, and is second in the nation, with a .444 batting average. Cullen also leads the team and the MAAC in on-base percentage (.521), runs scored (32) and hits (55).
  • Battaglia leads the team in RBIs with 37 and in homeruns with six. He is second in the MAAC in RBIs, third in batting average (.352), fourth in on base percentage (.444) and is tied for fifth-most homeruns.
  • Julian Gallup is a perfect 9-for-9 in stolen bases and has the third-most stolen bases in the conference.
  • On the mound, Cody Eckerson (1-4) leads the Purple Eagle pitching staff with 49 strikeouts in 43.0 innings pitched. He has the seventh-most strikeouts in the MAAC.

On the Field: Saint Peter’s Peacocks
  • Outfielder Nick Ciocco leads the Peacocks in nits (28), doubles (six) and RBIs (12).
  • Ciocco and outfielder Angel Perez lead the team in runs scored with 10 each.
  • Perez has a team-best six stolen bases.
  • Willie Krajnik (0-5) leads the pitching staff with 48 strikeouts in 52.0 innings pitched. He is eighth in the conference in strikeouts.
