HINSDALE — A 37-year-old Missouri man was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Troopers conducted a traffic stop on a tractor trailer traveling east on I-86. An interview of the operator, Charles Kairu, showed signs of intoxication and after SFST’s were administered he was arrested.

Kairu was taken to SP Olean for processing where he submitted to a breathe test which registered a 0.15 percent blood alcohol content.  He was arraigned in Hinsdale Town Court where he was remanded to the Cattaraugus County Jail in lieu of bail.
