EDGEWATER, N.J. — Singles victories from the top three spot pushed the Purple Eagles past the Peacocks, 4-3, on Sunday.
 
Match Summary

  • Niagara won the doubles point after picking up wins in two and three doubles.
  • Taylan Ozdemir and Shyam Srinivasan held on to take two doubles, 7-5.
  • Josh Wilson and Pere Padro dominated in three doubles to win 6-1.
  • The match was decided at No. 3 singles as the match was tied at 3-3.
  • Niagara’s No. 1 Taylan Ozdemir and No. 2 Josh Wilson won their respective matches in straight sets, but Saint Peter’s won in four, five and six singles.
  • Finnbar Adams rallied in the third set to pull out a 7-6(3), 4-6, 7-6 win.

  • The doubles team of Josh Wilson and Pere Padro improved to 3-1 in league matches in three doubles.
  • Josh Wilson won his 11th overall match and second straight to improve to 3-2 in MAAC matches.
