UNIVERSITY AT BUFFALO ATHLETICS

BUFFALO, N.Y. — The University at Buffalo men’s tennis team will host Western Michigan on Sunday at the Miller Tennis Center beginning at 11am. It will be Senior Day for the Bulls as they will honor seniors Petr Vodak and Vidit Vaghela
It is an important contest for both teams with the MAC Tournament just under two weeks away. Western Michigan enters Sunday’s contest with an 18-4 record and a 5-0 mark in MAC play.  The Broncos are looking to lock up the #1 seed with a win on Sunday.
The Bulls, who have also clinched a spot in the upcoming MAC Tournament, are 10-8 overall and 3-1 in MAC play with their lone loss coming earlier this year to Western Michigan. With a win, the Bulls will still be in play for the top seed as well.
Despite hosting the conference tournament in two weeks, this will be the final regular season contest at home for Buffalo and their two seniors in Vaghela and Vodak, who remain nationally ranked in doubles.  As a team, the Bulls are currently looking to build on their three-match winning streak, following victories over Binghamton and Toledo last week.
Western Michigan has won seven straight matches since back-to-back losses to Penn State and Princeton.
The Miller Tennis Center is located at 5959 Sheridan Dr., Williamsville, NY 14221.
