ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Mother Nature, 3/Red Wings & Bisons, 0. That’s the score after a weekend of waiting at Frontier Field in Rochester. The Bisons and Red Wings were postponed on Sunday because of snow and cold temperatures in their third attempt to get the 2018 season started.

Rochester and Buffalo had Opening Day scheduled for Friday night, and when that was postponed, they tried again with a new time on Saturday late afternoon. When that was also postponed, the teams gave it one more chance on Sunday. But again, Mother Nature did not cooperate as snow in the morning provented the field from unfreezing.
The Bisons visit Rochester two more times in 2018, May 25-28 and August 28-30, to make up the three games that have been lost this weekend.
The Herd is now off to Pawtucket to try to start their season in Rhode Island. First game of a three-game series is Monday night at 6:15 p.m.
The Bisons Home Opener is Thursday, April 12 against the Indianapolis Indians (2:05 p.m.). CLICK HERE FOR TICKETS
