PERRY — A 21-year-old Perry man was charged on March 29 with driving while impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana and failure to keep right.

According to New York State Police, Trooper had been dispatched to a vehicle off the road way. While interviewing Clayton R. Zemke, he had stated that he fell asleep and that he was on anti-depressant medication. A pipe containing marijuana was also located in the vehicle. Zemke was placed under arrest after failing SFST’S for DWAI-Drugs. He was taken to SP Warsaw for processing. A DRE evaluation was preformed and determined that Hewas impaired by the combined effects of Depressants, Cannabis and Inhalants.

Zemke was released and is to return to the Town of Perry Court on April 25.
