NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y. — The Niagara men’s golf team kicks off its spring season this weekend. The Purple Eagles will compete in the Longwood/Manor Intercollegiate in Farmville, Va. March 30-31 and in the Abarta Coca-Cola LV Collegiate Invitational in Hellertown, Pa. April 1-2.

The Purple Eagles competed in four events in the fall season. The team opened the season with a 475-438 dual match loss to crosstown rival Canisius. Niagara then competed in the Binghamton Invitational and finished in 17th place. Christian Nizamis led the Purple Eagles in the tournament, finishing tied for 38th place.

The Purple Eagles placed 15th at the Bucknell Invitational and were again led by Nizamis, who finished tied for 15th place. Niagara closed out the fall season hosting the Little 3 Championship. The team finished in third place.

Prior to the start of the spring season, Stosh Kajfasz was named the head coach of the men’s golf program.
