BUFFALO, N.Y. — Canisius sophomore David Hanes posted his second-straight round of 73, while freshman Matt Genaway shot a 76, as the Golden Griffins played the second round at the 2018 FAU Spring Championship Saturday afternoon at the Osprey Point Golf Club in Boca Raton, Fla.


Hanes was able to move up three spots on the leaderboard with his one-over par score of 73. He enters the final round on Sunday tied for 37th. Genaway is is tied for 84th, while junior John Dantonio shot a 78 on Saturday to place him in a tie for 95th.

As a team, Canisius posted a score of 307 for the second-straight day. The team ranks 19th in the field. Lynn University leads the team event after 36 holes with a team score of 554. UConn’s Jimmy Hervol shot a five-under 67 on Saturday. He leads after two rounds with a 36-hole score of 131, which is 13-under par.

The third and final round of the FAU Spring Championship will be played Sunday.
