JAMESTOWN — A 26-year-old Falconer man was charged Sunday with driving while intoxicated and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance following a traffic stop on County Road 380.

According to New York State Police, Nicholas Eggleston was pulled over for speeding and after failing several SFSTs, Eggleston was placed under arrest, during which time a straw containing amphetamine residue was located in his possession. Eggleston was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .10. Eggleston was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the town of Ellicott Court and released.

Eggleston is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellicott Court next month to answer the charges.
