WELLSVILLE — A 24-year-old Pennsylvania man was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic top on State Route 417.

According to New York State Police, Troopers stopped Travis L. Varner for an equipment violation.  Upon interview of the driver, the odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected.  SFSTs were conducted which Varner subsequently failed.  He was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated and transported to SP Amity for processing where he recorded a 0.15% BAC. He was arraigned and remmanded to the Allegany County Jail on $3,000 cash or $6,000 bond. Verner is scheduled to reappear in the Town of Wellsville Court.
