WALES — A 39-year-old Cheektowaga man charged Thursday afternoon with aggravated driving while intoxicated and speeding, was said to have a blood alcohol content three times the legal limit.
According to New York State Police, at 3 p.m, Troopers performed a traffic stop on a speeding vehicle on State Route 20A in the town of Wales. While interacting with the operator Charles E. Voorhees, the smell of alcoholic beverage was apparent. Voorhees was administered SFST’s in which he failed. He was transported and processed at SP Elma, where he was administered a breath test resulting in a .24 percent BAC.
Voorhees was issued an Appearance Ticket for the town of Wales Court returnable in March.
