CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS
The Canisius College Women’s Rowing program will be hosting a junior day on Saturday, February 10, 2018. The day is geared toward high school juniors (current high school students Class of 2019). The day will include a campus tour, a tour of the athletic facilities in and around the Koessler Athletic Center, a drive to the Frank Lloyd Wright & Fontana Boathouse, and a meet and greet with the coaching staff, student-athletes and athletic department staff.
The purpose of this event is to provide you with an inside look at not only the rowing program here at Canisius, but also into the academic opportunities, campus life and more! Coaches and team members will be on hand to answer any questions you might have. You will also get firsthand information from our strength trainers, nutritionists, support services and more!
Schedule:
10:00am – Arrive at Koessler Athletic Center; tour the athletic facilities in KAC
10:30am – Presentations from Canisius Compliance Department on NCAA Eligibility Center & Academic Services
11:00am – Tour of Strength & Conditioning Center; meet with Scott Godfrey, Canisius Rowing’s Strength & Conditioning Coach; walk through Athletic Training Room
11:30-12pm – Break for lunch (Invited to check out the dining hall for brunch; also a Tim Horton’s on campus)
12:00pm – Campus Tour with tour guide, Grace Horner (Senior, B.A. Education; Dayton, OH)
1:00pm – Travel to Frank Lloyd Wright & Fontana Boathouse; transportation provided
1:45pm – Meet & Greet with coaches and Athletes in Griffin Team Meeting Room
2:00pm – Men’s Basketball Game vs. Quinnipiac in Koessler Athletic Center*
*As mentioned above, there is an option to watch Canisius Men’s Basketball take on Quinnipiac at 2:00pm in the Koessler Athletic Center (complimentary tickets and details available upon request when you RSVP).

Additionally, if you arrive early Saturday morning, you are welcome to watch a team practice in the morning before the day gets started. Details will be provided upon RSVP with regards to location and time.
