BUFFALO — The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning through 1 a.m. Wednesday.

The weather service says “travel will be very hazardous, including during the evening commute. Additional snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches are expected” in northern Erie County.

Winds gusting as high as 45 mph will cause whiteout conditions in blowing snow. Significant drifting of the snow is likely.

Additionally, dangerously cold wind chills of colder than 25 below zero are possible Thursday night through Saturday.
