A 37-year-old Jamestown man was charged Saturday with Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated – Leandra’s Law.

The Troopers received a complaint of an erratically driving vehicle in southern Chautauqua County and stopped the suspect vehicle on Buffalo Street Extension in Jamestown after observing similar violations. The driver, identified as Jason Green, was placed under arrest after failing several SFSTs.

Green was transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .15. As there were two minor children in the vehicle as the time of the traffic stop, the charge was upgraded to Aggravated DWI – Leandra’s Law and Green was also charged with two counts of Endangering the Welfare of a Child. Green was then processed, arraigned in the Town of Sherman Court and released on his own recognizance.

Green is scheduled to appear in the Town of Ellicott Court on a later date to answer the charges. The children were turned over to a relative at the scene.
