EDISON, N.J. – Rylee Hunt earned her record-setting ninth MAAC Libero of the Week award announced on Tuesday.

Hunt’s nine MAAC Libero of the Week awards are the most in the MAAC in any category (player, rookie, libero/defensive) in the conference’s database since 2011.  This is the 11th time in her career that she has been named MAAC Libero of the Week (Sept. 22, 2015, Nov. 8, 2016, Sept. 5, 12 & 19, Oct. 3, 17, 24 & 31 2017, Nov. 7 and 14).

Hunt led both matches in digs on her way to averaging 6.71 digs per set in two matches last weekend. Hunt had a match-high 22 digs and five assists at Fairfield on Saturday. Hunt followed with a match-high 25 digs, with a perfect reception percentage (24-for-24), three assists and two aces in the four-set win at Quinnipiac. Hunt, who has 20 20-plus digs match on the season, ranks third in digs per set with 6.18 and sixth in total digs with 630.

The Purple Eagles will be the No. 2 seed in the 2017 MAAC Tournament hosted by Fairfield University from Nov. 17-19. Niagara will be on Saturday at 5 p.m. against the Iona/Quinnipiac winner.
