STAFF REPORTS
The National Weather Service has issued a lakeshore flood warning through 2 a.m. Thursday.
The flood warning is in effect around the Lake Ontario shore of Niagara, Orleans and Monroe counties.
The weather service says that “strong northeast winds and Building wave action will combine with above normal lake levels to increase shoreline erosion along the south shore of Lake Ontario” especially in low lying areas near bays and inlets.
A lakeshore flood warning means that lakeshore flooding is occurring, is imminent, or is expected to occur. People in the warning area should take immediate action to protect life and property.
All WNY is made possible thanks to coffee and sleep deprivation.
