Charles W. Heal passed away August 3, 2017 in Elderwood at Williamsville. Born February 10, 1933 in Lockport he was the son of Leslie and Inez (Rosenthal) Heal. Charles was a 1952 graduate of Lockport High School and served in the US Army from 1953 to 1955 receiving the rank of Staff Sargent. He worked for Harrison Radiator where he was a draftsman. Charles married Lovis (Short) in 1957, together they raised five children in their home on Beattie Avenue. His passion was woodworking and carpentry. In 1997 Charles married Judith (Wilkerson) Heal and moved to Clarence Center. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Clarence where he belonged to the Stephen Ministry and helped with the expansion. Assisting in the restoring the front doors, the altar and kneeling rail.

Besides his wife of 20 years Charles is also survived by his children Cheryl (John) Urtel, Christopher (Paula) Heal, Patrick Heal, Laura (Alma) Heal, and late Melanie McCormick; step-father of Edward (Anne) VanKuren, Karyn (Tim) Bass, and Richard (Marie) VanKuren; grandfather of Bret, Danielle, Amanda, Samuel, Catherine, Sara, Cristina, Katelyn, Faith, Cambridge, Zack, Alison, Jed, Eli, Issac, Noah, Matthew, and Jillian; great grandfather of seven; brother of Virginia (William) Gregg, Joyce (Cono) Sammarco, Leah (Glenn) Foley, Janice (David) Wilson, and late Florence (late Myron) Winegard and Cynthia (late William) James; brother-in-law of Gail(Ken) Covel, Gary (Marla) Wilkerson, and Ron (Beverly) Wilkerson; also several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends may call Saturday, Aug. 5th from 4-8 PM and Sunday, Aug. 6th from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in Prudden & Kandt funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. Funeral Services will be held Monday, Aug. 7th at 10 AM in Zion Lutheran Church, 9535 Clarence Center Rd, Clarence Center, NY. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery.
