SAMSUN, Turkey — Buffalo State swimmer Alyssa Greymont (Morgan Hill, CA / Flex Academy) captured the bronze medal in the 400-meter freestyle at the Deaflympics yesterday.
Greymont, a junior political science major, qualified as top seed in the morning preliminaries for the women’s 400-meter freestyle with a time of 4:41.37. In finals, she kept up the pace to swim a time of 4:40.18 to earn the bronze medal.
DEAFLYMPICS SITE
Greymont transferred to Buffalo State last season and set school records in the 500 free (5:19.16) and the 1,000 free (10:52.55) before her season ended prematurely due to injury.
