CONCORD — A 48-year-old Machias woman was charged Tuesday with driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop.
According to New York State Police, April Smith was stopped on SR-219 in the Town of Concord for speeding. Troopers determined her to be intoxicated and took her into custody. She was transported to SP Boston where she provided a breath sample of .24 percent blood alcohol content. She was processed and released on an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Concord Court on July 24.
