Woohoo, its almost time to celebrate Independance Day, and do I have a great idea for you. A hot dog buffet; simply put some delicious grilled hot dogs with a selection of toppings, to create your very own unique hot dog, or to make one of the hot dogs that different areas of the country are known for.

I did this with my family and they loved it. It was very simple to do, buy some all beef hot dogs, what ever brand you prefer, get your self a serving tray with lots of different sections, or use an assortment of different bowls, and pick your toppings, and then let everyone go to town creating their own favorite dog. Here is a list of some of the most popular dog varieties sold in the United States.

New York Dog: Hot Dog, mustard, saurkraut, and diced white onions.

Chicago Dog: Hot Dog, poppy seed bun, pickle spear, celery salt, diced tomato, whole pickled peppers, onion, relish, and mustard.

Kansas Dog: Hot Dog, swiss cheese, saurkraut, cornbeef, and 1000 island dressing.

Memphis: Bacon wrapped Hot Dog, bbq sauce, chopped green onions, and shredded cheddar cheese.

Dont forget the chili cheese Hot Dog: Hot Dog, chili, and shredded cheddar cheese, with some fresh chopped onion.

Which ever one you try or create of your own taste the point is to have fun, enjoy your family, and Happy 4th of July.
