ROCHESTER — Red Wings infielder/outfielder Niko Goodrum has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Hotel Player of the Week for May 29-June 4, the second straight week he has been honored.
Goodrum batted .333 (11-for-33) for the week with three runs scored, a home run, and six RBI. He is hitting .357 over his last 10 games, and has at least one hit in eight of those 10 games. Goodrum has been a valuable defensive asset for the Wings this season; he has played all three outfield positions, as well as first base, second base, and shortstop.
