Carl E.”Ed” Collingwood, 80 of Lockport, NY husband of Joyce(Bobzien) Collingwood entered into rest on Friday June 2, 2017 at Millard Fillmore Suburban Hospital. Born on July 04, 1936 in Enid, OK to the late Jesse and Pearl Goble.
Ed worked for and retired from Verizon Telephone where he was a telephone repairman. He served in the US. Army during Korea and the New York Army National Guard for many years. Ed was an avid bowler and enjoyed crossword puzzles and Sudoku.
Ed is survived by his wife Joyce; a son; Bradley Collingwood; two daughters Kimberly (Stephen) Szczublewski and Jennifer (Mike) Arnal; his honorary daughter Lauren (Ron) Sutton. Also surviving is his sister Sarah Fiertag; Two grandchildren Zachary and Dana Szczublewski and honorary grandchildren Matthew, Timothy and Christina Sutton. Ed is predeceased by 8 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the RUTLAND-CORWIN FUNERAL HOME INC. 2670 Main St. Newfane, NY on Tuesday from 12-2 PM. A memorial service will be held immediately following at 2PM. Entombment will be at the Convenience of the family in Corwin Cemetery. In lieu of Flowers memorial donations may be the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.
