TOWN OF LOCKPORT — Twenty-two-year-old Jordan R. Patterson of Lockport was arrested today and charged with first-degree rape for an incident that reportedly happened in September of 2015.
According to New York State Police, on may 26, the Bureau of Criminal Investigation was notified of a possible rape that had occurred. The BCI then interviewed the complainant who was 18 years old at the time of the incident, which led to the arrest of Patterson.
The complainant decided to report the crime years later after the City of Lockport Police Department released a press release in which Patterson was arrested for second-degree rape was published April 27.
Patterson was remanded to the Niagara County Jail in lieu of $25,000 bail.
