Born on March 26, 1957, Debra Jean Lardner succumbed this life on May 25, 2017 and was received into everlasting life by Jesus, the One she knew well as her Lord and Savior.

Kindness to others was a hallmark of Debbie’s life, reflected in exquisitely scribed notes of encouragement and gratitude, and extensive interest in people, particularly as our informal family historian. Debbie had a gift for remembering people and dates because of the depth of her love for them.

A natural extension of her interest in the welfare of others was her interest in medicine. After her 1975 graduation from DeSales High School, she completed her degree in Speech & Hearing Therapy at New Mexico State University. She pursued a career in audiology, followed by work in the areas of cardiology and pharmacy.

Her parents, Martin Eugene and Joan Marie (nee Woock) Lardner grieve the loss of their gifted daughter, as do her siblings Daniel Lardner, Susan Lardner, Sharon (Gene) Head, and Christopher (Christy) Lardner. Particularly special people to Debbie were her nieces and nephews, Abigail Head, Evans Head, Eileen Lardner, and Josiah Lardner. Her interest and immense love for them was evidenced by their many photographs gracing her home. She found great joy in being their Aunt Deb.

The family looks forward to memorializing her with you at Prudden and Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee Street, Lockport, NY. Visitation will be Wednesday, May 31, 4-6 pm with a memorial service to immediately follow.

Debbie’s hope was to share her knowledge of the gift of salvation through Jesus Christ with others. You may wish to honor her with a contribution to Samaritan’s Purse or The Chapel at Lockport.
