CANISIUS COLLEGE ATHLETICS

NIAGARA FALLS — Rain in Western New York has forced a change to the schedule for the second day of the 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship at Sal Maglie Stadium.

Canisius’ game against Marist, originally scheduled for noon today (May 25) has been pushed back to a 4 p.m., start time. The tournament’s first elimination game between Rider and Manhattan is scheduled to be played at 7:30 p.m. this evening.

The MAAC Baseball Championship committee will meet again at 11:30 a.m., today in an effort to continue updating fans on the weather situation and game schedule. Be sure to check Canisius’ social media network (@GoGriffs and @GriffsBaseball) and GoGriffs.com for further updates.

Canisius advanced to the second round of the 2017 MAAC LifeStorage Baseball Championship by defeating Rider 11-8 on Wednesday afternoon. That win, the Golden Griffins’ 23rd MAAC Tournament win since 2007, improved the Blue and Gold to 35-20 on the year.
