INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. — Junior Travis Wright competed in the 2017 USA Diving World Championship Trials from the IUPUI Natatorium this past weekend, finishing tenth overall in the individual event.

Wright began the weekend with a score of 263.40 in the three-meter diving quarterfinal, positioning himself in 11th place. In the second day of competition, the Golden Griffin remained in the 11th position, moving his score to 516.30 overall.

On the third and final day of diving, Wright had his highest point total of the weekend, with a finals score of 334.35. With the performance the junior moved his overall score to 850.65 and ended the competition in 10th place.

The showing wraps up a tremendous season for Wright, who broke both Canisius diving records on the men’s side. The junior also won both events at the 2017 MAAC Championships and was named MAAC Male Diver of the Year.
