STAFF REPORTS

BUFFALO — Explore Buffalo is planning a tour of the oldest residential structure in the city, built after the burning of Buffalo during the War of 1812 — the Coit House.

Built by George Coit near his business on the waterfront at Pearl and Swan, this house was moved to Virginia and Elmwood in approximately 1868. It is now privately owned by Sue-Jolie Rioux and Tim Boylan, who will describe some of the history of the home, its renovations and their painstaking part in the continued restoration efforts.
The tour is $20 general admission or $15 with an Explorer Pass.
