NIAGARA UNIVERSITY ATHLETICS

NIAGARA UNIV. — Head coach Jada Pierce and the Niagara women’s basketball program have announced the slate of 2017 summer camps to take place at the ‘Taps’ Gallagher Center.

This summer, the program will be hosting two different types of camps, catered to different skill levels and ages. At all camps, participants will have a chance to meet and be coached by the women’s basketball coaching staff, as well as members of the Niagara women’s basketball team.

The camps kick off with night clinics; clinic one will take place June 20-21 and clinic two will be held June 27-28. Both will be held from 6:00-9:00 p.m. Night clinics will focus extensively on the fundamentals of shooting and position work. Some shooting techniques that will be covered are jump shots, foul shots and 3-point shots. Position work will focus on the fundamentals of basketball and will also emphasize the breakdown of offense and specific skills of each position.

Elite camp will be available on Saturday, August 5 from 10:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m. For questions or more information, please contact the Niagara women’s basketball office at (716) 286-8619 or at Niagarawomensbball@gmail.com.
