Rochester Red Wings catcher John Ryan Murphy has been named the Batavia Downs Gaming and Hotel Player of the Week for May 1-7.
In a week shortened by three postponements, Murphy was 2-for-7 (.286) with a home run and three RBI. Murphy has hit in six of his last eight games played, batting .375 with two homers, six RBI, and five runs scored.
