POUGHKEEPSIE – Juniors Liam Ganzhorn and Connor Kearnan were named to the all-tournament team for the 2017 Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference Men’s Lacrosse Championship, league officials announced Sunday.


Ganzhorn recorded 12 saves in the Griffs semifinal contest against Marist on Friday. The Cleveland, Ohio, product tallied double-digit saves for the seventh time this season as he made five stops in the first half and turned aside seven shots during the second half.


The MAAC Co-Offensive Player of the Year, Kearnan capped his outstanding 2017 campaign with three goals and one assist versus the Red Foxes. A native of Courtice, Ontario, Kearnan tallied 35 goals and 24 assists in 15 games this season, tying him with Ned Franz (1995) for eighth place on the program’s single season points list (59).


Top-seeded Monmouth won the league championship, defeating third-seeded Marist, 9-8, on Sunday to earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
