ANGELICA — A 46-year-old Belmont man was charged with felony driving while intoxicated following a reported complaint on Wednesday.

According to New York State Police, Troopers and the Angelica Town Police were investigating a report of an erratic operator when they located and interviewed Donald W. Schultz as he was exiting his vehicle at the Birdsall Inn.

Schultz was determined to be intoxicated and taken to SP Fillmore where he was found to have a .16 percent blood alcohol content. His charge was upgraded to felony status due to a previous DWI conviction in the last 10 years.

He was released on tickets and is due in Birdsall Court.
