In an effort to deal with the forecasted wet weather in Western New York, Canisius softball head coach Kim Griffin has announced the Golden Griffins’ MAAC doubleheader with Niagara will be played on Saturday, May 6. Game one of the league twinbill will start at 3 p.m., at the Demske Sports Complex.
Prior to the start of Saturday’s games, Canisius will take the time to honor seniors Taylor Decker, Samantha Sharkey and Lindsey Silfer, who will be playing their final regular-season contests.
Canisius (20-31, 8-10 MAAC) enters the final series of the 2017 slate having won two straight thanks to a pair of walk-off wins over Quinnipiac at home April 30.
