BATAVIA — A 47-year-old Alexander man was charged Sunday with aggravated driving while intoxicated following a traffic stop.

According to New York State Police, Timothy McCarthy was originally stopped for failing to keep right and crossing hazardous markings. He was determined to be intoxicated and processed for DWI. McCarthy provided a breath sample of .18 percent blood alcohol content. He was released with tickets retunable to the Town of Batavia Court.
