GERRY — A 24-year-old Jamestown man was charged earlier today with felony driving while intoxicated following a motor vehicle crash on Route 60.
According to New York State Police, investigation revealed that Casey Billyard had been driving north on Route 60 and driving erratically prior to leaving the roadway and crashing. He was evaluated by EMS and was determined to be uninjured. He was determined to be intoxicated and transported to SP Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of .10 percent.
As Billyard had been convicted of DWI within the preceding 10 years, the charge was upgraded to a felony. He was processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Gerry Court and released with ordets to appear in the Town of Gerry Court on a later date to answer the charge.
