LITTLE VALLEY — A 43-year-old Cattaraugus woman was charged earlier today with driving while intoxicated after New York State Police checked on a disabled vehicle on State Route 242.

Troopers determined Shannon Franzen to be intoxicated and placed her under arrest. The passenger in Franzen’s vehicle, Charlene Loucks, was wanted by Jamestown Police for failing to appear in court for a pending DWAI charge and was also arrested.

Franzen was transported to SP Jamestown where she provided a breath sample of .09 percent. She was then processed, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Napoli Court and released with orders to appear in the Town of Napoli Court next month to answer the charge. Loucks was turned over to JPD officers.
