Gloria M. White passed away April 17, 2017 under the care of Niagara Hospice. Born May 20, 1931 in Lockport she was the daughter of George and Josephine (Scarpinato) Wilson. Gloria and her husband, James ‘Jim’ ran Snedeker’s meat Market in Lockport for 25 years, she retired in 1996. She enjoyed gardening, taking long rides, visits from family, grandchildren and friends. Gloria loved her neighborhood who kept a close eye on her. She was also a longtime participant in Relay for Life. Gloria was predeceased by her husband of 62 years, James C. ‘Jim’ White on January 21, 2011.

Gloria is survived by her children, Carol (Thom) Malloy, James D. (Susanne) White, Sue White, JoAnn (Doug) Toussaint, Deb White, Kathi (Randy) Thiel, Mark (Patty) White all of Lockport; grandmother of Colleen (Michael) Schultz, James, Jack, Krista, and Joel White, Adam and Brittany White, Tiffany Toussaint and Brianna (Andrew) Hallman; also several great grandchildren; sister of Janet (Paul) Harpst, Delores (Wally) Hoffman, Francis (Rhea) Wilson, Maureen (Steven) Guy, and Annette (Gary) Oliver; also several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters Virginia (Richard) Hedley and Shirley Wilson, daughter-in-law Jane White, and grandson Troy Toussaint.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, April 21st from 3-7 PM in Prudden & Kandt Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St., Lockport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, April 22nd at 11 AM in St. John the Baptist RC Church, 168 Chestnut St., Lockport. Interment will be in Cold Springs Cemetery. Donations to the American Cancer Society or to Niagara Hospice would be appreciated by the family.
