NEW PALTZ — Buffalo State outscored host New Paltz 4-0 over the final 22 minutes of the game to claim a 7-5 victory in a SUNYAC contest.

Christina Krowel (Amsterdam/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) led the Bengals with four goals. Nina Schaefer (Lafayette/Lafayette) tallied two goals and an assist, and Alanna Herne (Tonawanda/Tonawanda) had a goal and an assist. Buffalo State jumped out to a 3-1 halftime advantage. New Paltz netted four goals in the first eight minutes of the second half to take a two-goal lead, but Buffalo State shut the door the rest of the way. The Bengals evened the score with a pair of goals just 36 seconds apart, and then Schaefer gave the Bengals the lead with 13 minutes left, and Herne added an insurance marker with less than seven minutes remaining. New Paltz outshot the Bengals 19-17, but Buffalo State had a 13-12 edge in shots on goal. Elyse Stark (Lido Beach/Long Beach) finished with seven saves and three goals against in 57 minutes of play.
                                                                                           
Buffalo State will close the regular season with four-straight home games, including Tuesday against Brockport at 4 p.m.
