SHERMAN — A 38-year-old Sherman woman is facing third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child, accused of injuring a juvenile.

According to New York State Police, Troopers responded to a residence in Sherman for a report of a child under the age of 17 with visible injuries.  Investigation revealed that the victim received the injuries from Kathryn Rowan, who was later arrested, processed at SP Jamestown, issued tickets returnable to the Town of Sherman Court and released with orders to appear in the Town of Sherman Court later in the month to answer the charges.
