BUFFALO — They couldn’t both have undefeated seasons.

It’s now four-straight wins to start the season for the hot-hitting Herd as the Buffalo Bisons defeated the Rochester Red Wings, 9-4, taking sole position of the top spot in the International League North division.

Both teams went into the contest with three wins and zero losses.

Buffalo took a 3-0 lead in the 2nd against Jason Wheeler (0-1) after a passed ball brought in Mike Ohlman and a single by Jason Leblebijian drove in two runs. Leblebijian added a solo homer off Wheeler in the 4th to make it 4-0.

The Red Wings cut the deficit in half after Reginatto’s solo homer and an RBI single by Niko Goodrum made it 4-2 in the 7th. Buffalo answered with two runs in bottom half of the inning, aided by a wild pitch, to extend the deficit to 6-2. Reginatto doubled to score a run in the 8th but the Bisons responded again in the bottom half with three runs to make it 9-3. ByungHo Park added an RBI double in the 9th to make it 9-4.

The Bisons and Red Wings play again at 1:05 p.m. Tuesday.
