ROCHESTER — Elijah Lawal (Duanesburg/Duanesburg), Robert Liebel (Tonawanda/Tonawanda), James Willard (Albany/Albany) and Darren Thompson (Buffalo/St. Joe’s) raced to a victory in the 4×100-meter relay to lead Buffalo State today at the ROC City Classic at Nazareth.

The winning 4×100-meter relay posted a time of 43.26 seconds. Thompson also finished second in the 100-meter dash (10.88), while Willard was fifth (11.16). Chris Duhaney (Hempstead/Uniondale) was fifth in the 110-meter high hurdles (16.16), and Robert Alexis (Middletown/Middletown) was fifth in the triple jump (12.89m). Sachar Williams (Rochester/East) placed seventh in the 400-meter hurdles (58.39), and Mohamed Kouyate (Bronx/Dreamyard Prep) was eighth in the 800-meter run (1:58.00).

Buffalo State will visit Mount Union next Saturday.
