WILLIAMSVILLE — The Niagara women’s tennis team picked up two singles wins but was defeated by the Marist Red Foxes, 5-2, on Friday night in its final home match of the season.
Niagara trailed 3-0 when Stella Peisakhova defeated Chloe Lant in three sets, 6-3, 2-6, 10-6 in No. 1 singles. Peisakhova has a team-best 10 wins and improved to 2-1 in the conference. Sansriti Ranjan topped Sophia Moeller 6-2, 2-6, 10-8 in No. 5 singles in the last match of the night.
The Purple Eagles head to Fairfield to play the Stags on Sunday at Noon.
