HELLERTOWN, Pa. – The Niagara men’s golf team completed the first round of the Lafayette Invitational on Sunday. The team carded an overall score of 323 (+35) and is in 16th place.

Nicco Gentile led Niagara, firing a 78 (+6) through the first 18 holes. He is tied for 46th place.

Daniel Weimer shot 81 (+9) and Christian Nizamis and Wilson Lockwood both carded an 82 (+10). Weimer is tied for 72nd and Nizamis and Lockwood are tied for 83rd.

Eric MacLean, who joined the Niagara team this spring, is tied for 100th place. MacLean carded an 85 (+13) in round one.

Niagara will complete the second and final round of the Lafayette Invitational on Monday.
