Perry is an engineering major with a 3.32 GPA. He started all 17 duals at 184 lbs. and finished 17-16 on the season, including 9-8 in duals and 5-4 in MAC duals. Perry was named the MAC Wrestler of the Week on February 22 after defeating 15th-ranked Steve Schneider in UB’s win over Binghamton.

The Academic All-MAC honor is for a student-athlete who has excelled in athletics and academics.  To qualify, a student must have at least a 3.20 cumulative GPA and have participated in at least 50 percent of the contests for that particular sport.  First-year students and junior college transfers in their first year of residence are not eligible for the award.  Outstanding academic and athletic accomplishments for the current season are only considered.
