LATHAM — Major General Anthony P. German, the Adjutant General of New York, announces the recent service accomplishment of members of the New York Army National Guard in recognition of their initial commitment to serve community, state and nation.
The newest Citizen Soldiers to complete Army basic combat training and advanced individual training were welcomed to their units during a New York Army National Guard battle handoff ceremony.
The ceremony, held March 12, marks their completion of the National Guard Recruit Sustainment Program, a preparatory training program that provides new recruits with training, lessons and skills to excel at their initial military training.
- Pvt. Andrea Mackey from Amherst, was formally welcomed into the 105th Military Police Company during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Austin Stanley from Amherst, was formally welcomed into the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Christian Leenhouts from Lewiston, was formally welcomed into the Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Cory Massey from Buffalo, was formally welcomed into the Troop C, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Jordan Mccarville from Depew, was formally welcomed into the Headquarters and Headquarters Troop, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Jordan Wolcott from Albion, was formally welcomed into the 105th Military Police Company during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Michael Day from Tonawanda, was formally welcomed into the Company A (Engineer), 27th Infantry Brigade Special Troops Battalion during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pfc. Michelle Deyoe from Cuba, was formally welcomed into the 222nd Military Police Company during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pvt. Peter Dejesus from Buffalo, was formally welcomed into the Company A (Engineer), 27th Infantry Brigade Special Troops Battalion during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Spc. Robyn Putney from Rochester, was formally welcomed into the Headquarters and Headquarters Company, 27th Infantry Brigade Combat Team during a transition ceremony at the Patriot Way Armory in Rochester.
- Pfc. Samantha Matthews from Angola, was formally welcomed into the 105th Military Police Company during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pfc. Stacey Ehrig from Cheektowaga, was formally welcomed into the Company C (Medical), 427th Brigade Support Battalion during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Spc. Yesenia Pagan from Derby, was formally welcomed into the Company B (Military Intelligence), 27th Infantry Brigade Special Troops Battalion during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
- Pfc. Austin Evarts from Rochester, was formally welcomed into the Troop A, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) during a transition ceremony at the Patriot Way Armory in Rochester.
- Pfc. Benedicto Piazza from Leroy, was formally welcomed into the Troop B, 2nd Squadron, 101st Cavalry (Reconnaissance, Surveillance and Target Acquisition) during a transition ceremony at the Patriot Way Armory in Rochester.
- Pfc. Sandee Moore from Buffalo, was formally welcomed into the Company D (Forward Support Company, RSTA), 427th Brigade Support Battalion during a transition ceremony at the Masten Avenue Armory in Buffalo.
The New York National Guard (New York State Division of Military and Naval Affairs) is the state’s executive agency responsible to the Governor for managing New York’s Military Forces, which consists of nearly 20,000 members of the New York Army National Guard, the New York Air National Guard, the New York Naval Militia and the New York Guard.
